We've all heard of it. We've all thought about it. But how many of us have done it?
Turns out, most of us!
This year, I've decided to get myself together and go in with an extra 16,000 words at my side. I've been incredibly afraid of going for it, but since I've become more motivated to write, I'm thinking that this will be good for me. And plus, with the extra fifth of it already written (only 16k in a month, I'd better step it up!) the shadows seem a little less scary.
I've heard mixed things about it. Good and bad, how a friend of mine wrote her first novel in Nanowrimo (How to Knit a Love Song), as well as how much it can take out of a person.
And then I think of how it could end. With a stunning victory of fifty thousand words!
Or... Twenty thousand meaningless words and a sense of defeat.
Either way, I'm thinking this could be good for me. Either to deflate my swelled head, or perhaps swell it a little more.
I'll be seeing a lot of the cafe this month, and I hope you all will join me there!
